Shipping And Returns
Highgate Candles is a very small UK-based chandler offering high quality individually handmade moulded candles.
Not everything listed on this site as available is presently in stock, so order fulfilment times can vary widely.
If you order a candle that happens to be in stock, we will send it out to you as soon as possible, and your order should arrive within three to four working days.
Otherwise, we have to make them. This process can take up to a further five to ten working days, depending on the volume of orders we have to work through at the time.
Most orders should be completed and fulfilled within two weeks.
Very occasionally, we may find that we need to delay fulfilment further while waiting for materials etc to be delivered to us. In this case we will contact you using the information provided when you placed your order.
We use Royal Mail Signed For 1st Class postage for all UK orders under 2kg.
The prices (including handling and packaging costs) are as follows:
- Up to 1kg: £5.00
- 1kg to 2kg: £7.00
Packages weighing more than 2kg cannot be sent with this method.
All other orders are fulfilled using Parcelforce Worldwide Express 48.
The prices are as follows:
- Up to 2kg: £12.50
- 2kg to 5kg: £14.00
If you place an order that weighs more than 5kg, we will be in touch directly to arrange a suitable shipping method.
Returns and Refunds
Candles are by nature fragile, especially individually handmade moulded candles of the sort that Highgate Candles make.
While we make every effort to ensure that our candles arrive safely and undamaged, we are unable to guarantee that this will always be the case.
In the unfortunate event that a candle should arrive in less than perfect condition, please get in touch with us as soon as possible and we will do our best to sort things out for you.
